5Wow... if I can do it, anyone can!  Nov 21, 2008 By T. Butler
This was SO easy to install. I have no knowledge of electricity and was hoping I would be able to do this. It took about 15 minutes and the longest part of that was labeling the wires as I took them off my old thermostat (which they include stickers for labeling all the wires). When I turned the power back onto my heat pump I was really expecting it not to work as it was so easy to install, but it started right up. I am a single mom and I am learning to do this kind of stuff on my own and was absolutely thrilled to find out how easy this was to install. It seems to work great also, I had to reprogram it as the default settings didn't work for my schedule and that was also very, very easy!

4Performs as specified.  Nov 19, 2009 By Bernard King "ERINT"
The Lux HP2110 performs as specified in the literature and has numerous features that make it very flexable. It has the great feature of 4 time divisions for each day. I installed it in my elderly father's apartment so that if he jacks it up or down because he's either hot or cold, it will reset to the programmed setting at the next time scheduled for adjustment. This keeps him from getting too hot or cold. I have gone to visit him and often the temperature is over 90F and he doesn't remember that he previously adjusted the thermostat.

5Flawless Installation  Jan 12, 2008 By pjaatpdx
Being a little technically challenged, I was extremely pleased to open the unit and see easy step by step installation and programming instructions. Very well produced product, works flawlessly, directions and operation are a breeze, holds temp well, highly rated company in Consumer Reports. Couldn't be happier

5Lux is what Honeywell isn't  May 22, 2010 By Glows by night
I've installed five Lux thermostats and three Honeywells.

Every Lux installed without a hitch and the oldest (11+ years) still works flawlessly. Nice: you can remove from wall and program sitting down.

I've installed three Honeywells and moved into one house that already had the $200+ 'Honeywell Best' installed. Pure junk. The only Honeywell thermostat I'd ever trust is the old-fashioned round manual one (2 speeds: ON or OFF). The programmable ones have the most arcane programming imaginable.

(An aside: when the big H moved into its new office building -Phoenix, AZ- it took them two years to sort out the HVAC ... while my girlfriend and the other employees alternately roasted or froze. 'nuff said.)

You can buy either one first ... but, either way, your 2nd one will be a Lux.

1. Nice design
2. Works perfectly.. to within 1 degree.
