4Good, But Lacking On The Low End Of The Scale  May 08, 2009 By Stuart Steele
I found this lux meter to be completely satisfactory in general. What I did not understand from the description is that the lux scale is an integer scale, and the lowest that the meter reads in 1 lux, which is still pretty bright. This is through no fault of the product, but I had hoped for a meter that read fractional lux.

5Easy to use; very sensitive.  Feb 12, 2008 By E. Mazzone
I purchased this product for my daughter's science fair project in which she measured light intensity. This meter has three levels of sensitivity and is very accurate and easy to use. It was able to measure light through water, air and fog for all the bands of visible light and had an easy to read digital output. I was very happy with this product and would reccomend it to anyone who requires a light meter.

5Just what I wanted.  Sep 29, 2008 By C. Wylie "Siameslvr"
I needed a simple, uncomplicated Lux meter to assess light levels at work and at home for a health condition. This meter was perfect. Easy to operate and gave me the information I needed.

5Inexpensive but works great  Mar 10, 2007 By Kent Schnake "kschnake"
Simple to use, easy to read, helps you understand how much lighting varies from spot to spot.

4Budget light meter.  Mar 19, 2011 By Todd E. Hanson
For a cheap light meter, it serves it's purpose. Originally I purchased this to find out what my minimum LUX threshold for video with a Canon HV-30 would be. (about 145 for the record.) This allowed me to not only quickly find spots of darkness that would need better lighting, but to gain consistent lighting throughout cut scenes.
This is easy to use, quick to gain a reading, and has been operating on the original battery for over a year now.

Downside, it really does not have many bells or whistles. I am sure (after using two or three pro-grade models) that you can get a higher end light meter that will give you more data than this...but for the price, it did what I needed it to.
