GOOD STUFF. Feb 20, 2011
By vickie I HAD A PROBLEM IN MY CLOSET WITH MOISTURE. MY LEATHER SHOES WOULD GET WHITE WITH MOLD. I USED THIS INSTEAD OF USING THAT STUFF YOU EMPTY EACH TIME, AND IT IS A BIGGER PROBLEM IF YOU KNOCK IT OVER. THE WHITE MOLD WENT AWAY WITH THIS AND IT IS MUCH EASIER.

Not very happy with this product Oct 13, 2011
By Pinkhat I bought this silica in August, when the humidity in my basement was around 60%, and put it inside a chest freezer that I had just emptied. This 200 gram package is supposed to be enough for up to 15 cc, my freezer is 13 cc. I placed the silica box in the bottom of the (empty, clean and completely dry) freezer and within three weeks the indicators in the box started to change from blue to pinkish. I left the box another week in there and all indicators were now solid pink. The humidity in the basement was still close to 60%.
I followed the instruction for drying the silica in the oven, put it back in the box and into the freezer. Ten days later the indicators are already starting to change colors, even though the humidity in the basement is now just below 50%.
This silica box might work better in smaller than 15 cc enclosures.

Seems to be working, but slowly Apr 30, 2011

The product arrived on time and in an advertised condition. I put it in a damp-smelling safe, and it seems to be working, but unexpectedly slowly. I have not tried to re-generate the silicagel yet, so not sure about the overall quality and advertised re-usability of the product.

It works. Nov 04, 2011
By Jess King I bought a hydrometer to measure the humidity levels in an enclosed, air-tight cabinent and this stuff does reduce the humidity. From 60% to 40% in my case. Adequate for my mold prevention requirement.
Works like it needs to Mar 21, 2012
By Weezul Have very damp closets in the spring and fall, started getting mold on some leather in one of them... this seems to work well for what I need, easy to recharge as well.
