It works great! It has been 2 days since it replaced the old one. I was worried about the motor noise because a review complained it. Fortunately the one delivered to me has almost no noise from motor except blower fan sound which is natural. Yet, it would be perfect if the patch(gasket) of glassfiber was included. My furnace needs new one because it is very old and easily torn into pieces when disassembled. That is why graded 4 of 5. The inducer itself is great! And under a hundred dollar!

My previous furnace draft inducer was a Jakel j238-138-1344 and it was sounding like one of the ball bearings was going. The blower would start up and it sounded like something was hitting the side but it wasn't. I went on to the internet and found this Fasco. It came to the house pretty quickly. It is completely made of metal including the blower fan. Seems like a decent quality even though some cutouts still had a little metal on it. It does not come with any gasket and my gasket was not salvagable. I removed the rest of the previous gasket and used hitemp gasket sealer (the red stuff) from the auto parts store. Be careful not to put too much on so that it squeezes out everywhere. Do make sure you make a complete seal and the exhaust is sealed at the junction. It's been over a month and everything seems to be working well for under $100. It doesn't sound louder or quieter than the previous blower. I also will give this 4 out of 5 just because it doesn't come with a gasket.

This was exactly what I ordered. I was able to fix my furnace for under 100 dollars instead of having an HVAC guy come in for significantly more. Great folks to do business with.

HVAC company wanted over $1,000 to install a new one of these.
Since I know how to use a screwdriver and plug in colored wires, I figured I would buy this.
I'm glad I did. For under $100, I have replaced my blower fan. It's no louder or quieter than the old one (before the old one started grinding, anyway).
Honestly, for this price, you can't complain. This fan has lasted an entire season now, and I'm happy. If it lasts another season, I'll be thrilled. If it lasts more than three seasons, I will feel like the king of finding-the-best-bargain-ever.

I bought this item based on what the picture described. It arrived at my house in great condition. Problem was that the picture shows flange with screw holes. The unit I received had no flange attached so I couldnt install it. I have to give Amazon credit for thier great customer service. They gave me return instructions and accepted the return in a timely manner. Love conducting business with Amazon.
