I was afraid it might not fit due to the description. Aug 21, 2011
By chemocurl The existing Product Description states, "Designed to fit over most 3" and 4" exhaust vents" so I was concerned about it actually fitting over my square exhaust cover which measures 6" X 6". It covers it fine, and doesn't hinder the cover's flaps opening when in use. The actual dimensions of the Pest Barricade is 7" X 7", on the inside against the wall, and it is 4" deep.
It was not quite as heavy as the older one that had finally gotten brittle with age and broke. I think the dogs might have helped break it too.

By Jill Sinclair-meier We have had terrible problems with birds nesting in our dryer vent. This completely solved the issue and was so easy to do! So far there hasn't been any lint buildup, that has been my one concern since it mounts at the top and the bottom.
