Well built, quiet Jan 28, 2010
By Greg B. I bought cheaper fans before and decided recently to buy this expensive one, but quiet and lots of CFM fan. The installation went very well, it wakes up automatically, which will be very useful in the kid's bathroom. And I have to say it is very quiet. I am really impressed. Quality seemed also much better. Even after long and hot shower not even single drp of water or fog on mirror. I would love to replace other fans now. I am glad I bought it. Money well spent. And the externel vendor selling it on Amazon (Northside Service Company) was great. There was one piece broken a little. They shipped replacement part quickly and no questions asked. Highly recommended.

charming fan, wonderful! Oct 03, 2011
By nonspicy I had been bothered by my rental house's the bathrooms moisture issues, there were black/green spots in the celling, renters don't care to turn on the fan when they take showers, even they turn on the fan, it's not strong enough to suck the moisture out, plus the noise, so I did lots of reserch and found this wonderful piece, installed it couple of weeks ago, and it works wonderful, absolutely no moisture anymore, and hardly to hear it, love it, purchased another one and now I can sit back relax...
couple of things to remind: 1) check your existing fan hose/vent, make sure they are really vented outside the house, not vent into attic(like mine, we had worked a solution to vent it out) 2) check your hose/vent to see if it's 4'' or 6'' fitting, this piece is 6'';
money well spent, I have recommended it to all my friends....
cheers!

Waste of money Jun 28, 2010
By Antonio Goncalves Humidity sensing only works properly in the winter, when the background humidity is low. The rest of the year the fan turns itself on constantly, when bathroom has not been used. This happens even though the house has a central dehumidifier that keeps the background humidity below 50%. I set the sensitivity control on the fan to MIN but the problem remains. I had 3 of these fans installed when the house was built, and they all do the same thing. I ended up unplugging the humidity sensors.

Humid Sensor is worth the extra money Feb 29, 2012
By buckey87 I've had this fan install for about a year and the humidity sensor is worth the extra money. No more sweaty wall because I forgot to turn on the fan.

This fan is worth it! Nov 27, 2011

I read the reviews - both the pros and the cons. I have not experienced any of the "cons" that others listed. This fan does exactly what Broan/NuTone claims. The installation was easy. The wiring was easy. The fan is QUIET! After crawling around in the attic, I was in a hurry to try out the auto-sensing of humidity. I didn't hear it come on. Probably because it was so quiet that I could hear the radio that I have in the bathroom. After turning off the water in the shower, I heard the fan. The mirror was fogged when I stepped out of the shower. By the time I had dried off, the mirror was clear. The fan continued to run for the programmed 20-minutes past the point that the humidity dropped below the sensing level.
I did not purchase the fan through Amazon as I had a gift certificate to one of the local home stores so I got it there along with a roof vent to send the steam and humid air outside.
I highly recommend this fan.
